Material Properties
Silicone foam cord is made by extruding silicone rubber with blowing agents to create a closed-cell structure. This structure prevents water and dust ingress while keeping the material soft and compressible. Compared to solid rubber, the foam cord requires lower compression force to seal, which is useful for lightweight enclosures and joints with limited clamping pressure.
