Medical-Grade FEP Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing
Our medical-grade FEP peelable heat shrink tubing is engineered specifically for the stringent requirements of the healthcare industry.
Manufactured in our ISO-compliant facility in Shenzhen, this tubing is ideal for OEMs and contract manufacturers looking for a reliable, cleanable, and reworkable solution to protect critical connections in medical devices.
The key advantage for medical device designers and production managers is the peelable feature. During the assembly process, wires and sensors can be permanently protected. Later, in the field or in a service center, a technician can quickly peel back a section to access a connection for repair or to replace a single component.
This drastically reduces service time and costs, and avoids the need to replace entire wire harnesses. For devices requiring periodic high-level disinfection or internal cleaning, this feature is invaluable.
The FEP material itself is selected for medical environments. It is inherently biocompatible, chemically inert, and non-toxic. It will not react with or leach substances into bodily fluids or aggressive hospital-grade disinfectants.
Critically, it maintains its mechanical and electrical properties through repeated sterilization cycles, including steam autoclaving, making it a permanent part of the device ecosystem.
Main Specification
Inner diameter after heat shrinking: 0.30~4.00mm
Inner diameter before heat shrinking: 0.70~10.00mm
Common heat shrink ratios: 1.3/1.6/2.0
Color: Transparent
Packaging: Double-layer PE bag sealed packaging; root end, paper tube
Peel performance: Direct tear type, easy tear type heat shrink tubing. Its tear performance is comparable to imported easy tear heat shrink tubing from Zeus (USA) and comparable to other non-tearable heat shrink tubing on the market.
Applications:
-
Surgical & Robotic Tools: Protecting internal wiring in handpieces, probes, and robotic arms that require frequent sterilization.
-
Diagnostic Imaging Equipment: Insulating high-voltage cables and sensitive sensor lines in MRI, CT, and ultrasound machines.
-
Portable & Wearable Monitors: Creating durable, cleanable jackets for cables and connections in patient monitors, infusion pumps, and wearable sensors.
-
Dental Handpieces & Equipment: Shielding wires in tools exposed to chemicals and autoclaves.
-
Laboratory Analyzers: Bundling and protecting fluidic and electrical lines in automated testing equipment.
